At the meeting of the Wolfe Society in Baltimore this past May, Bob Powell, Chairman of the TWS Thomas Wolfe Stamp Committee, reported that proceedings are under way for a possible Wolfe commemorative stamp to be issued in 2000, the centenary of his birth. The decision on the issuance of a Wolfe stamp is expected to be made in late 1996 or early 1997. Supporting documents should be received by mid 1996. These should be in the form of short letters (one or two paragraphs) referring to Wolfe's accomplishments, and should NOT include form letters.
