Center for Children's Books  Designed for librarians, teachers, parents, and others seeking information regarding literature-based programming, storytelling, and other practical uses of children's literature.

Children's Literature Web Guide  Includes commentary on children's literature, an annotated Webliography of children's literature sites, teaching ideas, lists of award winners, and many other links to related sites.  Developed by David K. Brown, University of Calgary.

International Children's Digital Library  A project of the University of Maryland's Human-Computer Interaction Lab and the Internet Archive, this site provides online access to 200,000 children's books from 21 countries.

ARTSEDGE: The National Arts and Education Information Network  Provides teaching resources and professional materials to support art education as the center of curriculum.  ARTSEDGE was established by the Kennedy Center and the National Endowment for the Arts.  

ArtsEdNet  The Getty's art education website that provides lesson plans and curriculum ideas, image galleries and exhibitions, a listserv for art educators and learners, a variety of publications on art education and links to other sources of information art education.

Foreign Language Teaching Forum  A discussion forum (with archives) of information on foreign language teaching.  The website also provides links to articles and other information.

Language and Learning Across the Curriculum  A committee of the National Council of Teachers of English, provides links, a discussion list and a bibliography of information on the role of language, both oral and written,  in the learning process.  

Languages Across the Curriculum  Resources and links on the study and use of language throughout the curriculum to prepare students for the multilingual demands of a global society.  

National Research Center on English Learning and Achievement (CELA) The center conducts research to improve English and literacy competencies in schools in the United States.  CELA is funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Educational Research and Improvement.

K-12 Resources for Music Educators  An extensive directory of sites for band, choral, orchestral and classroom music education.

Music Education Resource Base   A bibliographic database of more than 30,000 resources in music and music education from 32 Canadian and International journals and other sources covering the period 1956 through the present. APA Center for Psychology in Schools and Education  The CPSE promotes psychology's presence in policy and programs

NASA Observatorium 
Public access site for Earth and space data with resources for educators.

OceanLink  Resource guide for teachers, "Ask a Scientist" and Question and Answer archive, ocean news. etc. 

USGS Learning Web  The U.S. Geological Survey provides lesson plans, activities, and project ideas in Earth sciences.

Social Studies

American Memory  Primary source materials from the Library of Congress, including text, photos, audio and video.  The Learning Page provides lesson plans and activities for using the materials in the classroom.

America's Story  Children's section of the Library of Congress American Memory Project.

Digital Classroom From the National Archives and Records Administration, the Digital Classroom offers material and advice on teaching with the primary documents of the NARA.  Educational publications published by NARA and professional development information are also included.

LD Online  From the National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities, this site provides both basic and detailed information on learning disabilities, bulletin boards and "Ask the expert" for interaction, and news and research reports on leanring disabilities.
