1898 Commemoration Foundation
This collection covers the 1997 establishment of the 1898 Commemoration Foundation, as well as the several years prior of planning and preliminary organizing. Headed by Dr. Bolton Anthony, the committee solicited assistance from business and community leaders, local churches, and the fields of art and academia. Materials include letters of inquiry, indexes of contributions, staff lists, grant information, documents concerning the distribution of funds, memos, personal letters, fundraising information, photos, and newspaper clippings.
